Whenever we meet a couple, there’s always one word we can use to describe their relationship.  In Byron & Bri’s case, there’s one description that fits them perfectly…ADORABLE!!  Their personality and the way they are around each other is just adorable.  :)  We felt very comfortable around them.  It was as if we were hanging out with old time friends.  For their engagement session, they took us to Brand Park Japanese Garden.  When we drove into the facilities, the first thing that crossed our minds was, ‘how did we not know this place existed??’.  It’s one of those small hidden treasures in Southern California that goes unnoticed.  We want to thank you for choosing us as your wedding photographers.  We’re very excited to drive up to Santa Barbara for your big day!  :)

Jed & Lindsay’s spring wedding took place in the beautiful Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Gardens.  Both the ceremony and reception were held outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of nature.  As it got darker it got a little cold, but Jed, Lindsay and their weddings guests knew how to keep warm…by DANCING THE NIGHT AWAY!!  Thank you so much for making our job so easy with your calm and warming personalities, and for trusting us to capture one of the most memorable events of your lives!  :)

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA

For Yesenia’s graduate portraits she suggested we go to Huntington Beach.  We had to reschedule her session once because of bad weather.  However, on this particular cloudy day, we decided we would take our chances.  VERY glad that we did!  Otherwise we wouldn’t have gotten these very dramatic sky shots.  If there’s one thing we’ve learned, unless it’s pouring “cats and dogs”, is never to reschedule when the weather appears to look bad.  It NEVER fails that we will get awesome shots with dramatic skies.  As always, it was a pleasure working with Yessi.  I’ve had the privilege of knowing her and her family for a few years now.  It seems as if it was barely just yesterday that she came to us for her 8th grade promotion pictures and now she’s graduating from HIGH SCHOOL!!  We wish you much success in everything you do.  You’ve always been a very responsible, mature, and very dedicated young lady.  Congratulations on such a big accomplishment!!  GO CLASS OF 2012!!!  :)

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

For Armando & Viviana’s Engagement Session, we started at the Bradbury Building in downtown Los Angeles.  However, upon entering and beginning the session, we were told they no longer allowed commercial photography so we had to leave.  The personnel was nice enough to let us get at least one picture.  :)  Downtown LA was the perfect spot for us to be.  Just walking distance from the Bradbury Building, we were able to get some cool shots in a tunnel, Angels Knoll park, California Plaza, an empty parking lot surrounded by skyscrapers, and we even got to ride the Angels Flight Railway!  You can NEVER go wrong with taking your Engagement Pictures in Los Angeles.  We’re positive Armando & Viviana will be as pleased with their engagement photos just as much as we were.  We really enjoyed strolling along the streets of Los Angeles with the both of you.  Can’t wait for your wedding day!  :)

Wish we could have gotten more shots inside the Bradbury Building, but at the very least we got a couple of cool shots outside of it.

Cool tunnel right??  I’ve grown up in Southern California and I never knew this Los Angeles Tunnel existed.  We couldn’t pass it by without taking a picture inside.

Another spot that I might be visiting during the summer is California Plaza.  Take the Angels Flight Railway to this spot for some free summer concerts.  Pretty cool huh??

SANTA MONICA PIER, SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA

Shooting Eloy & Tarra’s engagement photos was VERY cool for two very different reasons…for one, they live in Kansas and thought it would be a cool idea to have their engagement photos taken in California.  Why Santa Monica beach?  This takes us to the second reason why we felt so honored to take their engagement photos at the beach…Tarra had NEVER seen a beach!!!  It was her first time stepping on beach sand and viewing the ocean.  She described it as being very overwhelming.  Kind of makes us Californians appreciate the beauty of our beaches and the luxury of having them so close.  We want to thank Eloy & Tarra for allowing us to photograph their engagement photos.  We’re looking forward to hopefully shooting their wedding in Kansas!!  :D

Abraham & Mari have been one of the most giggly couple we’ve ever dealt with  The first half of the day Mari was very overwhelmed with emotions, especially when her mother was helping her dress for her big day.  As soon as she saw Abraham at the Ceremony, her tears of sadness suddenly turned into smiles and giggles.  As always, it was a pleasure being able to work with this lovely couple.  We wish you two the best!!

The Ramos Family were the winners of our 2012 Free Photo Session Contest.  On our way to the session at Horsethief Canyon Park in San Dimas, it started raining.  We thought for sure we would have to reschedule our session.  However, considering that they had driven quite a distance for the session, we figured we would make the best out of it one way or another.  So we improvised by going to Pasadena City Hall to get shelter from the rain.  However, as we drove closer to Pasadena, the rain disappeared and gave us the opportunity to get some pretty cool shots with dramatic cloudy skies and puddles of water that were left behind.  The Ramos family was a delight to work with and we look forward to working again with Giuly & Cameron for their Trash the Dress session this summer.  :)

For Juan and Marion’s Engagement Photos we took them to Mentryville Park in Newhall, California.  They wanted their engagement photos to be taken in a rustic-looking atmosphere and Mentryville Park fit that description.  Juan and Marion shared a beautiful long distance relationship for quite some time.  They both agree that it was NOT easy being so far away from each other for long periods of time.  Marion is from France, therefore seeing each other wasn’t as easy as it may be for other couples in long distance relationships.  The love and excitement of being together was very obvious during the session.  We’re very happy to be shooting your wedding in a couple of weeks.  Thank you for the opportunity.  :)

So we got to shoot at one of my favorite locations, The Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.  Throughout the entire session, it felt like we were shooting an Engagement Session.  However, what we were actually shooting was Bruno and Nubia’s 5th year anniversary photos.  It’s always a treat to see two people that have been married for a good amount of time and still look like they’re dating.  What I thought was so cute was seeing how Nubia kept making Bruno blush with her bubbly and spontaneous personality during the shoot.  It was a pleasure meeting the both of you.  Thank you for giving us the pleasure of shooting your 5th year anniversary photos.

For Adrian & Elizabeth’s Engagement Session, we traveled to Santa Barbara.  Though it was a bit of a drive, it was very worth it.  Santa Barbara has a very special meaning for Adrian & Elizabeth.  While attending University of California Santa Barbara, their lives crossed paths and they have been together ever since.  It was a pleasure being able to visit such a special place for them for their engagement photos.  We are very excited to shoot your upcoming wedding in the summer!  :D

They say first impressions last a lifetime, well Vito & Kayane definitely know how to make a first impression!  Classy, elegant, sophisticated, not to mention very good looking and TALL.  Their presence does not go unnoticed.  It was like walking around with celebrities the whole time we were walking the Santa Monica Pier with them.  Taking Vito & Kayane’s engagement photos in Santa Monica was a lot of fun.  Vito has a great sense of humor while Kayane is one of the sweetest brides we’ve met.  They both have very awesome personalities and we can’t wait to work with them again on their wedding day.  :)

Doesn’t this photo ressemble a scene from Titanic?  lol.  The cool thing about engagement photos at the Santa Monica Pier is the beauty of this beach.  It makes for very easy romantic photos.
